This is the Project page for Daz...
Having owned and rode various scooters, Daz has now acquired an Aprilia SR 125 and has decided to modify the looks and engine.
Here it is on the first day he bought it......

After a bit of a cleanup.....

A Very Nice tidy looking scooter....but it wasn't meant to be and after it got accidently knocked over....WHOOPS!

Daz decided it was time for the Stealth SR 172 Project to begin!
The first things bought to start modifying it....
A Malossi 172 AC Bore Kit....

and Carbon fibre look lenses and Backlights......

Next he took the panels off and sent them off to be painted. He's also redone sealing the frame with some paint on the exposed parts......

Malossi 172 Kit fitted....

Exhaust Sprayed with matt black VHT paint......and forks painted black

Added a Black tranny casing to replace the previous Grey one....

Next Modification is to add a 25mm carb and polini inlet manifold brought from PSN's in Yorkshire.... also a Malossi E13 Burger Filter which will be added along with the carb very soon, it will get rid of the ugly standard airbox filter......

A few more accessories to add when he finally gets the panels back from the painters....Mesh, black pillion seat to replace the yellow one, Malossi Mhr Rep Reedblock, blue tubing to replace the yellow oil and petrol pipe, carbon fibre look barends, carbon look mirrors, and a couple of other bits....

25mm Carb and Malossi E13 Burger Filter + Blue tubing fitted......

Next thing Daz has done is spray paint the rear Footpegs Black and spray the Back Shock Absorber Black aswell....also awaiting the arrival of Blue Anodised Fairing Screws, Blue Anodised Transmission casing bolts, Wavey front disc, New grips and Carbon Look Angel Eye lights.......

ok...well the main back light needed Daz to chop at the holder for it to actually fit, electrics are all different aswell...
indicator lenses need smaller screws also....
still waiting for the panels to be finished...

Some of the new parts arrived

also fitted the disc to the front wheel...

Carbon look Angel eye lights finally arrived....

Now to wire them in...6 wires to connect...2 each from the halogen lights themselves..and from the neon rings which connect into a transformer box 2 more....

First things first...he took the old wiring loom off the back of the original lights....
Cut the old bulb holders off....

Now to wire them in.....
Wiring
Halogen lights
Cloth covered wires(2) coming from each of the halogen lights.... coloured White.
Wires coming from the transformer box....one black, one black and white.
Standard wiring loom from old lights
One Black and Blue wire together.
One Yellow and Blue wire together, with a lighter blue wire and white wire(smaller of the wires).
How to wire them in....
Halogen white wires(right side 2)...to Black and Blue
Halogen white wires(left side 2)...to lighter small blue wire and white one.
Transformer wires...
Black to Darker blue wire
Black and white wire to Yellow

Tested them out to make sure they work....

Also painted a brake caliper red....

Daz has also now fitted the Carbon effect Afterburner lights, ran into a slight problem with one of the inner lenses coming unstuck, so attempted to repair it, resulting in one of the new lenses becoming unusable. So he has opted for the time being to use the original lenses of the old lights....

Daz finally got his panels back from the sprayer's only to find the bloke had made a real mess of them..
suffice to say he was not best pleased, so he has now opted to have them done again by a more professional sprayer, this means he will have to wait alittle longer for his panels but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end...
In the meantime some parts from easyparts.nl have arrived...

he's also cut down the rear mudguard(hugger), and cut out parts of the panels that go above the footplates which will be meshed...

New indicators bought for a later part to his project....

Front wheel with new wavey disc put back on...

Awaiting the panels....

Daz has decided to get rid of the plastic tranny casing cover
leaving the aluminium inner casing showing instead..
It needed abit of a cleanup..

He then decided to spray it in matt black paint and added the blue tranny casing bolts...

After consideration Daz decided to have a go at polishing the tranny casing instead...

but has now opted to have it powder coated gloss black for a better finish, so the casing has been given to the powdercoaters, in the meantime....
He's also bought a Kiesler Undertray to modify and fit to his SR and a carbon effect numberplate light....

Daz has recieved some of his panels back from the sprayers, he's still waiting on the inner leg shield though, but here's a taster of what they are like so far....

The front fairing with mesh added to the lower vents..

and the two panels just above the footplates without mesh...

with mesh....

Daz has recieved his tranny casing back from the powder coaters, he has also added some tranny casing covers and a NRG mudguard bracket.....

Daz has now modified the kiesler undertray to fit his SR, this will also be getting painted gloss black to match in with the panels...

He's also fitted the carbon effect indicators...

Daz has also purchased a breather filter to fit onto the front tranny casing cover....

Here it is fitted...

Next he's painted the engine casings black to match in with his colour scheme using some high temp spray paint....

He's also bought some new bolts etc to replace some rusty ones....

Daz also recieved the inner leg shield and undertray back from the spray painters....

Also added the smoked lensed indicators and blue bolts...

Here the panels have been semi fitted to the SR as Daz is still waiting for another panel before they can be fully fitted....

Daz has now put all the newly painted panels back on....

Well here's a few more pic's of the Stealth SR...finished for now, as Daz is currently looking for a buyer for it, so guess this is where this project ends

Sadly Daz has now sold the "Stealth SR", hopefully the new owner will have as much fun as Daz had with it...
